Associate Financial Analyst

About the role

Join Mastercard Europe’s Finance division as an Associate Financial Analyst within the Controller’s group. You will support the accurate accounting treatment of customer business agreements and contribute to the monthly close and statutory reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the statutory audit and local bookkeeping processes for assigned entities.
• Support monthly closing, US GAAP trial balance reviews, and SOX control execution.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Business Development Finance, Legal, and regional teams during contract drafting to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Liaise with Billing Services to implement pricing projects, set up automatic rebates, and maintain customer‑specific rates.
• Develop and update rebate calculation models.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, business, finance or a related field, preferably with an accounting focus.
• Eligible for a Rosetta position (under 26 years old).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access.
• Experience with database management.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls.
