Assistant QHSE Manager Offshore

About the role

The Assistant QHSE Manager Offshore supports the QHSE Manager in maintaining Anglo‑Eastern’s vessel management systems for the Antwerp offshore fleet. The role involves conducting audits, risk analyses, and accident investigations while mentoring ship masters, chief engineers and safety officers.

Key responsibilities

• Update shipboard and office manuals, emergency contact lists and anti‑piracy plans.
• Maintain QA statistics, KPI reporting and ensure timely delivery to offices and clients.
• Track new flag‑state circulars (Belgium, Netherlands) and provide guidance on HSEQ topics.
• Prepare and update ISM, DPA and CSO declarations.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits with flag states and classification societies.
• Organise follow‑up actions from audit findings and maintain audit closure reports.
• Prepare DMLC I & II documentation and MLC complaint handling procedures.
• Monitor SSAS tests, master’s reviews and maintain investigation reports and meeting minutes.

Required profile

• Experience in offshore vessel management and QHSE functions.
• Knowledge of flag‑state regulations (Belgium, Netherlands) and maritime safety standards.
• Ability to mentor shipboard personnel and conduct short business trips.

• ISM Code compliance.
