Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager supports the overall operation of the dining areas, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction. This role works closely with the management team to uphold standards of appearance, safety, and efficiency across all food and beverage outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect employee grooming, attire, and correct deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing the premises.
• Maintain organized storage areas using FIFO principles and conduct regular inventories.
• Monitor dining room seating, service flow, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Create and follow work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and disciplining staff.
• Uphold company safety policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Promote a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant food and beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
