Assistant, Analytical Support

About the role

The Assistant, Analytical Support will work within NATO’s Joint Intelligence and Security Division (JISD) to provide analytical and visualisation assistance to intelligence analysts. Based in Brussels, the role focuses on turning complex data into clear visual representations that aid strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with JISD/IPU analysts to understand data needs and deliver visual analytics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visual reports using PowerBI and other visualisation tools.
• Provide administrative support for meetings, events and coordination with NATO members and partner intelligence services.
• Assist in the development of open‑source exploitation capabilities and editorial support for intelligence production.
• Manage knowledge‑sharing activities and ensure data integrity across projects.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education with at least 4 years of related experience, or a post‑secondary degree with 2 years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work with analytical and visualisation tools.
• Strong written and editing skills to present data clearly.
• Capacity to handle multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency (V) in English or French and beginner level (I) in the other official NATO language.
