Area Sales Manager – North East Belgium

About the role

Portwest is seeking an Area Sales Manager for North East Belgium to drive the sales of its PPE, workwear and safety‑wear portfolio. You will work directly with distributors, resellers and agents across Liège, Hasselt and Turnhout, building on recent growth and expanding market share.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain quality relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Conduct daily face‑to‑face sales meetings with distributors, resellers and agents.
• Identify high‑potential existing customers and create development road‑maps.
• Spot new business opportunities, develop sales plans and execute winning strategies.
• Provide consultative selling by matching customer needs with Portwest solutions.
• Prepare clear written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Present new Portwest products with samples at each meeting.
• Follow up after meetings to close sales.
• Gather market intelligence and feed insights from trade shows, seminars, exhibitions and industry journals back to the business.
• Promote distributor promotions on Portwest products.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience selling PPE, workwear or safety‑wear.
• Native French and Dutch speaker with English proficiency.
• Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller or agent.
• Background in related industries such as automotive, tools, chemicals or MRO.
• Strong drive to grow sales in the field.
• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the designated region.
• Legal right to live and work in Belgium.
