Architect / Developer – Energy Efficiency Projects

About the role

Watt Matters is looking for an Architect / Developer in Building Techniques to lead energy‑efficiency projects for new and large‑scale residential buildings. You will act as the commercial bridge between the company’s technical solutions and developers, promoting turnkey energy systems financed through a third‑party investor model.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the company’s technical portfolio and value propositions to understand the go‑to‑market approach.
• Identify market opportunities in the construction sector and perform functional analyses of business prospects.
• Define and validate sales targets with management, then design a detailed sales strategy for construction companies and housing promoters.
• Break down the strategy into actionable KPIs, tools and timelines, and execute sales activities to secure agreements.
• Present the third‑party investor financing model to promoters, negotiate lease agreements linked to energy systems, and ensure long‑term client relationships.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to mobilise support for each sales opportunity.

• Ability to analyse market data, develop sales strategies and meet defined performance objectives.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical solutions to developers and promoters.
• Proactive attitude, capable of building trust‑based relationships without compromising ethical standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of boiler rooms and cogeneration units.
• Experience with heat pump systems.
• Understanding of photovoltaic (PV) installations.
• Familiarity with remote monitoring and control systems.
• Expertise in building insulation techniques.
