Applications Engineer

About the role

As a member of the Engineering team, you will translate customer sealing requirements into robust seal designs and guide them through industrialisation. You will work closely with customers, sales, production and quality to deliver polymer‑based sealing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Convert customer requirements into feasible polymer sealing proposals.
• Create production drawings for new items using Inventor, AutoCAD or equivalent 3D CAD tools.
• Lead or support the industrialisation process of new seal products.
• Act as project leader or team member within the project‑management structure.
• Provide technical support to the Customer Service/Quotation department and accompany field sales visits.
• Collaborate with production, quality and procurement to ensure feasibility.
• Conduct generic and customer‑specific testing in the technology centre, including design of test rigs.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering (electro‑mechanics or machine design preferred).
• Several years of experience in design and application engineering of machine elements.
• Strong affinity for CAD design and detail‑orientation.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; working knowledge of German and French.
• Willingness to travel for short periods and ability to work both independently and in a team.
