Application Specialist

About the role

As an Application Specialist at CLdN, you will ensure the smooth operation of business‑critical applications that support our maritime logistics network. You will act as the primary point of contact for users, troubleshooting issues and helping to continuously improve our digital tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily technical and functional support to users of business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application‑related problems in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Deliver training sessions for new and existing users.
• Create and maintain user guides, work instructions and standard procedures.
• Analyse workflows to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Assist in testing, debugging and deploying new features and updates.
• Serve as liaison between end‑users, business stakeholders and the IT department.
• Coordinate with vendors for escalation and follow‑up of complex issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in application support or a similar role.
• Understanding of fleet management software.
• Knowledge of database concepts and basic scripting (beneficial).
• Strong skills in Windows environments and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear communication skills, able to translate technical information for users.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Proactive, structured, accurate and committed to continuous learning.
• Calm, polite and efficient during busy or stressful moments.
• Eligible to obtain the legally required positive safety advice for critical port functions.
