Advanced Practice Provider I – Pediatric Autism & Developmental Disabilities

About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider I will join UT Southwestern’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities clinic in Dallas. The APP will work with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric faculty, nurses and therapists to deliver comprehensive care to children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new and follow‑up patients referred to the clinic.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations and developmental assessments.
• Establish diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists and community resources.
• Document encounters in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in clinic meetings and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (NP or PA‑I).
• Eligibility to practice in Texas.
• Interest in pediatric autism and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to work full‑time in an on‑site ambulatory clinic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
