Accounts Payable & Receivable Accountant

About the role

Eneco Wind Belgium is looking for an Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP‑AR) Accountant to join a small, dedicated finance team. You will ensure that supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time, while also managing customer invoicing and collections.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, post and follow up on incoming AP invoices for all entities.
• Process and issue customer invoices, monitor ageing and send payment reminders.
• Reconcile AP and AR general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month‑end closing activities related to AP & AR.
• Manage intercompany transactions and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues.
• Assist with ad‑hoc accounting tasks during peak periods.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar AP‑AR accounting role.
• Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Detail‑oriented, accurate and professional.
• Organised, pragmatic and solution‑oriented.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Native Dutch or French speaker with B2 proficiency in the other language and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or another ERP system (must‑have).
• Experience using Office 365 applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
