Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join the finance team at Samsonite’s European headquarters. The role supports daily accounting operations for one or more group entities, ensuring accurate processing, statutory compliance and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices efficiently and accurately.
• Handle and monitor employee travel expense claims.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit monthly and yearly VAT and Intrastat reports and other statutory filings.
• Support monthly payroll preparation.
• Perform ad‑hoc accounting tasks for assigned entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team‑oriented and collaborative work style.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced).
• Familiarity with SAP FI/CO (preferred).
