Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our financial team in Sint Gillis Waas. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing reliable data to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Support budget creation, variance analysis and highlight discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings and audits.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and timely payments.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management for cost control and decision‑making.
• Participate in accounting system improvements and automation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional accounting experience.
• CPA certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Highly organized, dependable and able to prioritize tasks.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP or equivalent accounting standards.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
