Accountant (A‑Z) – €65k‑€80k incl. 13th month – Brussels Airport Area

About the role

An international business is looking for a hands‑on Accountant to support its Belgium operations. The role covers end‑to‑end accounting, compliance and reporting, with close collaboration with finance teams in the UK and US. You will own the Belgian accounting activities within a stable, well‑established environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process accounting transactions.
• Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage invoicing and assist accounts receivable.
• Process supplier invoices and perform VAT coding.
• Support Belgian VAT filings and statutory compliance.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Provide payroll administration support when required.
• Collaborate with international finance teams on reporting and operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.

Required profile

• Independent and ownership‑driven mindset.
• Experience in a broad operational accounting role (GL/A‑Z exposure preferred).
• Comfortable working in an international environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and VAT.
