3D Technical Designer – Build Manuals

About the role

AirClad is looking for a practical 3D Technical Designer to turn detailed CAD models into clear, step‑by‑step build manuals for its modular event structures. You will work remotely or from an office in North England/Cumbria or Antwerp, collaborating closely with engineering and technical support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create visual guides by converting 3D models into exploded views, assembly diagrams and annotated part illustrations.
• Break down complex assemblies into simple, sequential steps that installers of any experience can follow.
• Maintain a consistent library of documentation, ensuring uniform layout, styling and part‑numbering.
• Update manuals quickly as products evolve or receive upgrades.
• Work directly with engineers to verify assembly logic and accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Rhino for 3D modelling and visualisation.
• Ability to navigate and extract data from SolidWorks assemblies.
• Practical mindset with a clear understanding of how physical components fit together.
• Excellent visual communication skills, using perspective, arrows and minimal text.
• Self‑driven, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Fluent written English for clear labeling and callouts.
• Based in the UK or Belgium, preferably Cumbria/North England or Antwerp.
