Webmaster

About the role

We are looking for a Webmaster to manage and maintain Brussels Airlines’ web presence. The role involves ensuring the company’s websites run smoothly, stay up‑to‑date and deliver an excellent experience for internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop existing websites in collaboration with external suppliers and internal teams.
• Create and update graphical content such as banners, buttons and page layouts.
• Implement and adjust technical elements including scripts, SEO tags and site configurations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including DNS, FTP and server migrations.
• Provide guidance on best operating procedures and act as the primary point of contact for website‑related queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic design or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of experience as a webmaster or in a similar freelance role.
• Strong teamwork, flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English; good knowledge of French, Dutch, German, Italian or Spanish.

Required skills

• Proficiency in (X)HTML4, CSS2/3 and basic HTML5.
• Strong JavaScript knowledge; basic AJAX/jQuery.
• Good understanding of XML, PHP/ASP and MySQL.
• Experience with two or more CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of SEO principles.
• Advanced use of Adobe CS5/6 suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Acrobat).
• Familiarity with web protocols and server concepts (DNS, FTP, SSL, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP).
