VP, Cluster Head RSV Vaccine

About the role

The VP, Cluster Head RSV Vaccine will lead the Vaccines/Infectious Diseases (Vx/ID) Clinical Science Cluster, acting as the single point of accountability for the integrated Clinical Development Plan (CDP) for RSV vaccine assets. Reporting to the Vx/ID Diseases Clinical Science Leadership Team, this role shapes disease area strategy, drives innovative study designs, and ensures high‑quality clinical deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Own the clinical development planning for RSV vaccine assets, aligning with key stakeholders and providing a comprehensive clinical/medical overview of the CDP.
• Interpret and critically evaluate study results in collaboration with clinical development leaders.
• Allocate disease‑expert input to project teams to support target profile delivery.
• Manage and allocate clinical personnel across projects, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
• Provide Clinical/Medical Governance, mentor clinical staff, and oversee training, compliance, and talent development.
• Ensure quality of all clinical deliverables, including documents, submissions, and data, through peer review and knowledge sharing.
• Act as Data Steward for the disease area, overseeing data integrity and accessibility.
• Lead project oversight to guarantee timely delivery of clinical programs and high‑quality regulatory presentations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in clinical development of vaccines, preferably within the RSV or broader infectious disease space.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex clinical portfolios.
• Strong track record of strategic planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical/medical governance, mentorship, and talent development.
• Experience with regulatory interactions and high‑quality submission preparation.
