Visa Assistant – Consular Office

About the role
The U.S. Embassy in Brussels seeks a Visa Assistant to support the Consular Office in delivering non‑immigrant and immigrant visa services. This full‑time position offers a multicultural environment with a strong focus on customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Perform data‑entry and review visa applications and supporting documents.
- Prepare correspondence, passport manifests, and visa printing.
- Provide front‑line assistance to the public, handling inquiries and guiding applicants through procedures.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with Visa Unit SOPs and processing guidelines.
- Support general office tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school diploma.
- Minimum 2 years of experience applying regulations, handling public contact, or providing customer service.
- Good working knowledge of English, Dutch and French.
Required skills
- Data‑entry proficiency.
- Document review and verification.
- Basic office software usage.
