Vibrations Project Engineer – Power Plant Monitoring

About the role
ENGIE Laborelec is looking for a Vibrations Project Engineer to join its international team in Linkebeek, Belgium. You will support the monitoring and analysis of vibration behaviour on turbo‑generator shaft lines in large power plants, providing data‑driven insights and recommendations to customers worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed vibration analysis reviews of turbo‑generator shaft lines.
- Identify root causes of mechanical and vibration issues and propose corrective actions.
- Advise customers on condition‑monitoring strategies for existing and new assets.
- Participate in remote condition‑monitoring service shifts and on‑call duty rotations.
- Collaborate with Materials, NDT and Electrical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data analysis and technical problem‑solving.
- Excellent communication skills, customer‑oriented and able to work both independently and within a team.
- Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
