Vibrations Project Engineer – Power Plant Monitoring

About the role
ENGIE Laborelec is looking for a Vibrations Project Engineer to join its international team in Linkebeek. You will support the remote monitoring of turbine shaft lines in large power plants, analysing vibration data, identifying root causes and advising customers on condition‑monitoring strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed vibration analysis of turbo‑generator shaft lines.
- Investigate mechanical and vibration issues, propose corrective actions and design assessments.
- Provide expert advice on condition‑monitoring technologies for existing and new assets.
- Participate in remote monitoring service shifts and on‑call duty rotations.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, delivering reports and recommendations.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, customer‑oriented and able to work independently.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
