Vibrations Project Engineer – Power Plant Monitoring

About the role

ENGIE Laborelec is seeking a Vibrations Project Engineer to monitor and analyse vibration behaviour of turbo‑generator shaft lines in large power plants. The position is data‑driven, combining remote condition‑monitoring, detailed reporting and regular client interaction, with occasional on‑site visits.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vibration performance of turbo‑generator shaft lines and conduct detailed vibration analysis reviews.
• Identify root causes of mechanical and vibration issues and propose effective remedial solutions.
• Advise customers on optimal condition‑monitoring strategies for existing and new assets.
• Participate in remote condition‑monitoring service shifts for main shaft lines.
• Take part in an on‑call rotation (one week every eight weeks) to support urgent client requests.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data analysis, reporting and technical problem‑solving.
• Customer‑oriented communicator who works well both independently and within a team.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
• Preference for operational support and direct client contact over pure research.
