Test Automation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Test Automation Specialist to expand and maintain automated testing across a suite of financial services applications. The role will focus on API, web, and client‑side testing within a six‑month implementation phase, with possible extension for ongoing maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated regression tests for REST, SOAP, MFT, web, and native client applications.
• Convert existing manual test cases into Gherkin scenarios and implement step definitions in Java using Cucumber.
• Integrate Selenium WebDriver tests with a packaged Selenium Grid and manage test execution pipelines in Jenkins.
• Maintain test artefacts in JIRA and XRay, ensuring traceability and reporting.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify testing gaps and propose improvement plans.
• Provide regular, proactive status updates to the test team lead.

Required skills

• Gherkin/Cucumber scripting for regression test conversion.
• Java programming for step‑definition authoring.
• Selenium WebDriver (GUI testing) and Selenium Grid integration.
• REST Assured library for API testing; experience with SOAP and MFT transfers.
• Jenkins pipeline creation using Groovy.
• JIRA and XRay for test case management.
• Maven build automation.
