Test Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a major digital transformation programme within the energy sector. The role involves designing, automating, executing and maintaining test solutions across multiple enterprise applications while collaborating closely with Agile delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Plan, design and execute functional, performance and non‑functional tests.
• Maintain and enhance test suites for web services, APIs and front‑end/back‑end components.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and QA peers in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Analyse test results, report defects and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

Required profile

• Proactive, analytical and detail‑oriented testing professional.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Enjoys working in Agile teams and challenging existing processes.

Required skills

• Test planning, design and execution experience.
• Hands‑on test automation (Python preferred).
• Performance and non‑functional testing experience.
• SQL/NoSQL database knowledge.
• Understanding of APIs, web services, front‑end/back‑end architecture and software integration.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
