Technical Training Specialist – Automotive Coatings (Belgium/France)

About the role

Axalta is looking for a Technical Training Specialist focused on automotive coatings to join its Mechelen facility. The specialist will act as the key link between the Regional Training Leader and training instructors, delivering high‑quality face‑to‑face and virtual training programmes to internal and external customers across Belgium and France.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver face‑to‑face and webcast training sessions for automotive coating applications.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate training activities throughout the region.
• Ensure consistent use of approved training content and maintain training data dashboards.
• Provide guidance and support to training instructors where required.
• Conduct customer demonstrations and support industry events.
• Collaborate with business, customer and regional teams to align training with market needs.
• Gather feedback and continuously improve training delivery quality.
• Contribute to content development as a subject‑matter expert.
• Manage product inventory and training materials at the training centre.
• Support local execution of regional product and colour strategies.
• Maintain security, safety, operational and branding standards at the training centre.
• Oversee facility management, including contracts, purchase orders, equipment maintenance and cleanliness.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of refinish industry knowledge with strong product, process and application expertise.
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering technical training.
• Fluent in French and Flemish; professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time across the region.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and business understanding.
• Excellent communication, customer‑focus and relationship‑building skills.
• Proven problem‑solving, decision‑making and results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with paint‑related software applications.
