Technical Lead – Modern Workplace (M365)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead for Modern Workplace to join a large public‑sector client. You will combine deep expertise in Microsoft 365 with hands‑on leadership, guiding the team to deliver a secure, stable, and evolving digital workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and content‑driven guidance for Modern Workplace solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimise M365 services, including Office 365, Entra ID and collaboration tools.
• Act as the primary technical contact for complex incidents, changes and improvement initiatives.
• Coach and support team members on best practices and complex issues.
• Ensure technical cohesion, stability and cybersecurity of the digital workplace.
• Contribute to projects with design reviews, implementation support and documentation.
• Monitor M365 ecosystem evolution and translate new features into practical applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience with digital workplace and M365 workloads.
• At least 5 years in an IT architecture or technology‑lead role.
• Strong background in cloud concepts (Azure) and cybersecurity fundamentals for identity and endpoint security.
• Experience supporting hybrid working models (NWOW/HWOW) for at least 3 years.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and knowledge‑transfer skills.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, good passive knowledge of the other language, and strong English.
