Technical Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Buyer to join the purchasing team of an international industrial company. In this role you will be responsible for securing equipment, spare parts and technical services needed for production and engineering activities, while ensuring cost‑effectiveness and high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier inquiries, evaluate commercial offers and negotiate pricing, contracts and purchasing conditions.
• Place orders and follow up on the delivery of technical materials, equipment and services.
• Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to understand technical requirements and translate them into purchase specifications.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and support supplier development initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance, track key metrics and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain procurement data and process purchase orders through the ERP system.
• Support projects involving new equipment, modifications and industrial investments.
• Coordinate with production, quality, logistics and project teams to ensure smooth execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical purchasing or procurement.
• Experience buying mechanical components, industrial equipment or technical services.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Structured, proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
