Team Leader Process Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Team Leader Process Engineering to drive continuous improvement across our global automotive manufacturing sites. Based in Belgium (or elsewhere in the EU) you will lead a multinational team, oversee technology transfers and support new product introductions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Process Engineering team, fostering technical capability and continuous improvement.
• Manage transfer and implementation of new technologies, products and manufacturing processes from global engineering to production.
• Own PCP/PPCP activities and support RFQ/RFS processes with input on capability, efficiency, scrap and investment.
• Ensure project targets for quality, productivity, efficiency and scrap reduction are met.
• Lead Design for Manufacturing reviews and develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, jigs and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with Automation, Operations and Engineering to optimise line layouts, line balancing, time studies, manpower planning and equipment design.
• Establish and strengthen process management systems, support audits and close corrective actions.
• Promote global knowledge sharing by transferring technical know‑how and best practices.

Required profile

• University degree in an engineering discipline.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or process engineering.
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to relocate within the EU and travel 30‑40 % of the time, mainly in Europe.

Required skills

• Problem‑solving tools such as Statistical Engineering (SE) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• CAD for designing jigs and fixtures.
• APIS IQ‑RM software for creating PFMEAs.
• SAP for related work.
• Office software, including project management tools and Microsoft Visio.
