Team Leader – Life Insurance Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced insurance professional to lead a team responsible for policy servicing and underwriting within a regulated environment. The role focuses on operational excellence, performance monitoring, and cross‑functional collaboration to meet business‑critical objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily policy servicing and underwriting activities across the team.
• Establish and maintain a monitoring and reporting framework for operational performance.
• Execute internal controls and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
• Drive action plans to reduce backlogs and stabilize workloads.
• Lead weekly team meetings and track key performance indicators.
• Ensure timely delivery of tasks in line with service level agreements.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives with commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Promote continuous improvement of processes, efficiency, and team performance.
• Provide operational coordination for strategic projects.

Required profile

• Solid experience in the insurance sector, especially group insurance operations.
• Strong understanding of life, death, disability, and hospitalization coverage types.
• Knowledge of group insurance products, contract management, and employee‑benefits taxation regulations.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Effective communication with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting strict deadlines.
