Team Leader Dispatching - Road Logistics

About the role

As a Team Leader Dispatching in the Road Logistics division of Kuehne+Nagel Belgium, you will oversee the daily activities of the dispatch team, ensuring full‑truck‑load (FTL) and less‑than‑truck‑load (LTL) shipments are planned and executed efficiently. You will drive operational performance, optimise processes and support a high‑performing team to meet the company’s service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and evaluate a team of Transport Planners, setting targets and conducting performance reviews.
• Distribute workload balanced across team members, assigning tasks based on strengths.
• Serve as first point of contact for escalations, providing expert guidance.
• Supervise daily transport planning and ensure high‑quality execution of FTL and LTL shipments.
• Monitor KPIs, identify trends and initiate improvement actions.
• Optimise operational and administrative processes and lead continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven logistics experience, preferably in road freight and transport planning.
• Demonstrated leadership in an operational environment.
• Hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset with flexibility.
• Strong IT affinity and ability to work with multiple systems.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, English and French; additional languages are a plus.
