Team Leader – Automotive Quality

About the role

Formel D is seeking a proactive Team Leader to oversee an international automotive and industrial quality project in Ghent, Belgium. The role involves managing a team of operators on rotating shifts, ensuring that inspection, rework and supply‑chain activities meet strict quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and motivate a team of operators, assigning tasks based on workload and skill set.
• Supervise daily inspection and rework operations, guaranteeing compliance with work instructions and quality standards.
• Conduct product quality checks, audits and line inspections before release.
• Track defects, support issue resolution and ensure accurate data reporting.
• Maintain workplace organization (5S), safety regulations and correct part identification (OK/NOK).

Required profile

• Experience in an inspection, production or industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
• Professional working proficiency in English and/or Dutch.
• Flexibility to work rotating morning, afternoon or night shifts.

What we offer

• Initial 6‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
• Hourly rate of €18 (approximately €2,960 per month) plus shift premiums.
