Team Lead – Controls Hardware Engineering

About the role

Movu Robotics is seeking a Team Lead for Controls Hardware Engineering to head a group of 5‑10 engineers. You will ensure that hardware control solutions follow established standards while guiding the team’s professional growth and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Apply standardized controls hardware solutions to meet project specifications and ensure compliance with engineering guidelines.
• Create concept layouts, refine drafted designs, and produce technical documentation.
• Coordinate system integration, on‑site I/O testing, and safety validations.
• Plan, monitor, and report project progress weekly for each team member.
• Lead resource planning, recruitment, and training activities for the team.
• Validate designs, approve technical documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical infrastructure engineering, including cabinet calculations and commissioning.
• At least 3 years of experience managing a team of engineers.
• Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, and ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time.

Required skills

• Eplan (CAD for electrical schematics).
• Caneco (cable dimensioning and calculations).
• Electrical cabinet design and calculation.
• System integration and validation procedures.
