Supplier Management Officer

About the role

Aerospacelab, a vertically integrated small satellite manufacturer and earth observation services developer, is looking for a Supplier Management Officer within its Sourcing & Supply Chain team. You will act as the key link between the company's supplier base and its internal teams, supporting suppliers from product development through mass production. The role is based at the headquarters in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based partnerships with local and international suppliers.
• Support suppliers' growth from product development and production preparation to mass production.
• Ensure on-time and on-quality deliveries, meeting performance requirements.
• In pre-production, coordinate the planning and development activities of Aerospacelab and supplier teams (Design, Quality, Industrialization and Procurement).
• In mass production, plan follow-ups and audits with suppliers, set KPIs and check that orders are delivered on time, on quality and in full.
• Assess supplier process capacity against order volume and keep the ERP up to date with quantities and delivery dates.
• Identify procurement risks, escalate concerns and help develop countermeasures.
• Act as a direct delegate of the quality department: set up quality checks at suppliers and follow up non-conformances until corrective actions are taken.
• Promote improvements and work with suppliers to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Production or Manufacturing).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Quality, Production, Industrial Engineering or Logistics, preferably in a mass production environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach, analytical mindset and strong planning and organization skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 25% of time to suppliers).
• Nice to have: aerospace or automotive experience, understanding of mechanical drawings and technical schematics, Odoo ERP knowledge.
