Strategic Communication Manager – EU Maritime Security

About the role

Expertise France is looking for a Strategic Communication Manager to design and execute a communication strategy that showcases the EU’s maritime security actions. Reporting to the Head of Project, you will work closely with EU institutions, delegations, and regional partners to raise awareness among diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and implement a strategic communication plan for EU maritime security initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with communication officers from EU services and other projects to coordinate joint actions.
• Develop a network of amplifiers, including media, influencers, and maritime‑focused research institutes.
• Manage the project’s social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) and produce external visibility materials.
• Organise and support public‑diplomacy events in Europe and target regions.
• Identify and coordinate short‑term communication experts, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Produce internal reporting documents, analytical briefs, and other project documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communication, preferably within EU or international contexts.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage public‑sector and private‑sector partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work autonomously under the supervision of the Head of Project.
