Staff Assistant – Military Engineering Information Management

About the role

The NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) is seeking a Staff Assistant to support Military Engineering (MILENG) information management. The role focuses on developing, implementing and coordinating information systems that enable data‑driven decision‑making across the Infrastructure and Engineering Division.

Key responsibilities

• Manage SHAPE MILENG Information Management Systems and related tools.
• Initiate, support and monitor development and implementation of MILENG‑specific information systems.
• Act as MILENG subject‑matter expert for NATO‑wide information system projects to ensure interoperability.
• Coordinate MILENG information system initiatives across the ACO MILENG community.
• Provide SME support to NATO Digital Backbone, Digital Transformation and Emerging Disruptive Technologies work strands.
• Gather and translate MILENG information management requirements into network enablement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in military engineering, engineering planning or infrastructure support.
• Minimum 3 years experience with information management systems.
• Relevant higher education or professional training in engineering or information management (as indicated in the original posting).
