Software Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist in Software Engineering to design and build scalable cloud‑native applications in Belgium. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from backend services and APIs to frontend experiences and cloud infrastructure, using modern .NET and AWS technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy full‑stack applications with .NET Core, C#, and AWS services.
• Build and maintain cloud‑native solutions, including serverless functions, APIs, databases and frontend components.
• Implement and document RESTful APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI, ensuring scalability, security and performance.
• Utilise AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, X‑Ray and event‑driven architectures.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to provision infrastructure with AWS CDK.
• Create and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Git‑based workflows.
• Apply automated testing (NUnit/xUnit) and Test‑Driven Development principles.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, supporting sprint planning, reviews and PI planning.
• Work with distributed global teams on architecture reviews, performance optimisation and observability.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of professional software development experience with full‑stack expertise.
• Strong hands‑on experience with .NET Core 6/8 and C#.
• Proficient in SQL query development and database interaction.
• Experience building APIs on AWS serverless and event‑driven platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and SAFe framework.
