Software Engineer – Scientific Imaging & Advanced Visualization

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our scientific imaging and advanced visualization team in Mechelen, Belgium. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, imaging science and high‑performance hardware, delivering cutting‑edge instruments for research and industry.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software for instrument control, 3D reconstruction, image processing and visualization.
• Develop new features and enhance existing capabilities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical specialists in a hands‑on development environment.
• Integrate software with complex hardware systems and support system realization.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical field.
• Strong interest in solving complex engineering challenges.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• C++ programming.
• Windows‑based software development.
• Knowledge or interest in 3D graphics, image processing and scientific computing.
