Software Engineer – Public Sector (Belgium)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join CGI’s public‑sector team in Belgium. You will help design, develop and maintain mission‑critical applications that support government and public‑service organisations, ensuring high quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts.
• Write clean, efficient code based on specifications using C++, Java and JavaScript.
• Integrate third‑party software components and connect web applications to Azure cloud services.
• Verify, deploy, troubleshoot and debug existing software solutions.
• Collect and evaluate user feedback and recommend enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Native French or Dutch speaker with good English communication skills.
