Software Engineer

About the role

Spektrum is seeking a Software Engineer to join the team supporting the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The role focuses on the end‑to‑end delivery of the Military Text Format (MTF) message monitoring application, a critical component of NATO’s secure communications infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the overall system architecture using the prescribed technology stack.
• Develop, test, and maintain the MTF message monitoring application in line with defined requirements.
• Collaborate with NCIA stakeholders, security experts, and other engineering teams to ensure compliance with NATO standards.
• Provide technical documentation and support for deployment and operational use.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development for complex, mission‑critical systems.
• Ability to work in a multinational, security‑sensitive environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
