Software Engineer – Innovation & Cybersecurity

About the role

NVISO Labs is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to drive technical innovation in the cybersecurity space. You will work on cutting‑edge prototypes, proof‑of‑concepts and production‑grade tools that protect our customers and enhance the company’s service offering.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory innovation activities, including developing technology prototypes and running proofs‑of‑concept with internal customers.
• Design, write, test and document software for advanced security products and tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies into existing systems.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends through continuous learning and development.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and foster a culture of innovation.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and innovation workshops to generate new ideas for cybersecurity challenges.

Required profile

• Citizenship of a NATO member state.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant software or innovation engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, company‑wide team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with additional programming languages.
• Solid understanding of software and infrastructure design principles.
• Experience integrating new technologies into existing systems.
• Strong testing, troubleshooting and debugging abilities.
• Basic knowledge of secure software design and security best practices.
