About the role
Bruker microCT is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team in Kontich, Belgium. The role focuses on creating and maintaining software that powers advanced micro‑computed tomography systems used in life‑science and materials research.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain software for microCT instrument control, image acquisition, reconstruction, visualization and analysis.
- Collaborate with imaging, hardware, applications and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Translate product and user requirements into robust, maintainable software designs.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system‑level issues.
- Contribute to software architecture, code quality and development best practices.
- Support prototype development, product verification and release activities.
- Participate in the development of next‑generation microCT platforms and technologies.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software development.
