About the role
Thales Cyber Solutions Belgium is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join its engineering team. The role focuses on building secure, scalable web applications using Python and Django, working alongside experienced engineers and cybersecurity specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services using Python and Django.
- Extend and maintain a mature Django‑based platform, following architectural patterns and migration practices.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs, integrate third‑party tools, and ensure proper data deduplication.
- Write unit tests and browser‑driven end‑to‑end tests, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Required profile
- 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong practical experience with Python and Django, including Django REST Framework.
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and containerized environments (Docker).
- Comfortable working in Linux, using Git, and following static analysis tooling.
- Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
