Software Designer/Tester Simu & Tools

About the role

Médiane Benelux is seeking a Software Designer/Tester specialized in simulation and tooling for critical railway systems. You will work in a DevOps‑oriented environment, developing high‑reliability components and automating the full software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects to define robust software specifications and contribute to system architecture with CI/CD focus.
• Develop software components in Python, C# and C++ and create automation scripts for testing, deployment and tooling.
• Design, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent) and ensure version‑control best practices.
• Implement automated unit, integration and validation tests to guarantee quality.
• Support integration between software and hardware, working closely with test and system teams.
• Continuously improve DevOps practices, promoting an automation‑first mindset and scaling pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong background in software development for embedded or safety‑critical systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation, maintenance and governance.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and participate in design reviews.
• Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and industrialisation of solutions.
