Social Media and Community Manager

About the role

As a Social Media and Community Manager you will shape the online presence of a high‑profile European sustainability initiative, combining strategic planning with hands‑on content creation and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage social media channels and online communities, ensuring an active, responsive and on‑brand presence.
• Plan and execute content calendars, create or edit text, visuals, GIFs and short videos, and coordinate live‑event coverage.
• Grow and engage online communities, partners and representatives while monitoring trends, reputational risks and opportunities.
• Set up and optimise organic and paid campaigns, advise on KPIs and translate analytics into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in social media and community management.
• Strong knowledge of major platforms, especially LinkedIn and YouTube, and their algorithms.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English (C1 level).
• Proactive, creative and diplomatic approach with sound judgement.

Required skills

• Canva (or equivalent visual creation tool) for graphics, GIFs and short videos.
• Social media analytics and reporting tools.
• Experience with paid and organic campaign set‑up and optimisation.
• Community growth and stakeholder coordination.
