Site Operations Lead – Bilingual (English/French)

About the role

The Site Operations Lead will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of a Google data‑center campus, ensuring that electrical, mechanical and controls infrastructure runs reliably and efficiently. The role requires bilingual communication in English and French to support client relationships across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own campus operational budgets, drive expense forecasting and minimise total cost of ownership.
• Set regional deployment strategies and manage multiple site teams.
• Lead technical teams responsible for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, power distribution, UPS and generator systems.
• Ensure environmental, safety and regulatory standards are consistently met.
• Manage incidents, outages and emergency responses to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement cost‑reduction initiatives while improving data‑center efficiency.
• Provide daily assistance to senior technicians, read blueprints/schematics, conduct system tours and assess equipment condition.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 12 + years managing technical teams that operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and controls infrastructure.
• 5 + years of experience managing managers.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Proven people‑management and cross‑functional collaboration experience.
• Experience with data‑center electrical and mechanical systems, mission‑critical facilities, and high‑availability power and HVAC requirements.
