Short-Term Power Dispatcher (m/f/x)

About the role

Join TotalEnergies' Short‑Term Power Europe team in Liège and help optimise the company’s power portfolio on the spot market. You will be responsible for real‑time balancing and dispatch of a diverse set of generation assets, working closely with Day‑Ahead and Intraday trading teams across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with centralized Day‑Ahead and Intraday teams to ensure balancing and optimisation of TotalEnergies' power portfolio in Belgium.
• Operate and optimise flexible assets in real time, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), combined‑cycle gas turbines (CCGT), combined heat‑power units (CHP) and a hydro power plant.
• Act as the single point of contact for market participants such as the Transmission System Operator, traders, other energy suppliers, green electricity producers, asset operators, trading platforms and data service providers.
• Support projects aimed at securing, optimising or extending the activities of the Short‑Term desk.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, business administration).
• Strong interest in the energy sector and willingness to deepen knowledge of energy trading.
• Ability to understand complex market mechanisms and analyse large volumes of information.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
• Capable of working under pressure and managing priorities effectively.

• Python (experience is an asset)
