Senior Works Manager – Subsea Cable Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Works Manager to lead the operational execution of offshore subsea cable projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will oversee a team of site superintendents and project engineers, ensuring safe, efficient and on‑schedule delivery of cable installation, burial, termination, testing and pull‑in activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute all phases of subsea cable works on barge‑based projects.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for HSE, personnel on board (POB) and emergency response.
• Manage daily installation, burial, pull‑in, termination and testing operations while controlling budget and schedule.
• Collaborate closely with Superintendents and Project Engineers to optimise workflow and resolve on‑site issues.
• Maintain compliance with QHSE standards and client requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience on complex offshore engineering projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (construction focus) or equivalent experience.
• Strong project management and planning capabilities in high‑safety environments.
• Excellent communication skills, autonomous problem‑solver with a hands‑on mentality.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages (e.g., Dutch) are a strong asset.
