Senior VAT Consultant – Indirect Tax Specialist

About the role

Join Deloitte's Indirect Tax practice in Belgium as a Senior VAT Consultant. You will be the primary point of contact for clients on all VAT‑related matters, helping them navigate national and international tax regulations while delivering high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical VAT advice to clients on complex structures and operations.
• Collaborate with tax professionals across Deloitte’s international network on cross‑border assignments.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams alongside Tax, Legal and other business units.
• Ensure client service delivery meets Deloitte quality standards.
• Mentor and coach junior tax professionals.

Required profile

• University degree in law, economics or a related business discipline; postgraduate tax degree is a plus.
• 3‑6 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably in a consulting or law firm.
• Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Fluent in English and Dutch or French.
• Recognition as a tax consultant by the IAB‑IEC Institute is an asset.
