Senior Rust Engineer - High Frequency Trading (HFT)

About the role

Keyrock is looking for a senior engineer with deep experience in trading systems and strong AWS expertise to join its Capital Markets division. You will own high‑impact, low‑latency trading infrastructure, set technical direction, and drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, and operability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise low‑latency, mission‑critical trading systems.
• Own end‑to‑end components of the trading stack, from architecture to production operation.
• Collaborate with quants, traders, and engineers to improve trading performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve infrastructure focusing on performance, stability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across exchange connectivity, execution, and market‑data handling.

Required skills

• Production‑grade Rust experience, preferably with Tokio.
• Hands‑on experience in systematic trading (HFT, market making, quantitative trading).
• Strong AWS and Linux expertise, including cloud infrastructure trade‑offs for latency‑sensitive workloads.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and tooling.
• Deep familiarity with trading protocols (FIX, REST, WebSocket) and market‑data feeds.
• Low‑latency networking knowledge (TCP/UDP, packet analysis, DPDK, kernel bypass).
• Experience with agentic engineering tools such as LLMs, MCP APIs, AI‑first IDEs.
