Senior Reliability Engineer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to lead reliability initiatives within our pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in Belgium. The role focuses on improving equipment availability, reducing downtime, and embedding reliability principles into new projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability strategies across local and transversal sites.
• Analyze reliability data, identify trends and root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production and engineering to optimise preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Conduct deep analysis of emergency events and propose major equipment improvements.
• Perform criticality analyses to prioritise equipment and process upgrades.
• Support CAPEX projects ensuring reliability, sustainability and maintainability are built‑in.
• Prepare and present reliability findings during L3 and L4 audits.
• Train and mentor teams on reliability best practices and DMAIC methodology.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related).
• Minimum 7 years of reliability engineering experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work cross‑functionally.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• Reliability certification (CRL, CMRP) is a plus.
