Senior Project Manager CS&A

About the role

Group IPS, an international EPCM organisation active in industrial project management, automation and architecture, is looking for a Senior Project Manager for civil, structural and architectural works (CS&A) projects. You will lead complex construction projects from definition and design through procurement, construction and close-out, combining technical knowledge with project leadership. The position is based in Mechelen or at project locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex construction projects through the full lifecycle, including greenfield and brownfield investments and CAPEX projects of roughly €10M to €50M.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, planning, contracts and construction, and act as main contact for clients.
• Manage scope, budget, planning, quality, safety and stakeholder expectations; review technical solutions for constructability, maintainability and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate project documentation, design disciplines, contractors and client stakeholders, and coordinate procurement, including specifications, bid evaluations and negotiations.
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, quality, safety and change orders, and lead project meetings with clear recommendations.
• Identify risks and coordinate mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• Around 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, architecture, project management, real estate or industrial construction.
• Proven experience managing large CAPEX projects, ideally above €20M.
• Strong knowledge of civil works, structures, building design and construction planning, and experience leading teams and managing contractors.
• Good understanding of procurement, contract management and project reporting.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

• Project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel, Revit, Navisworks or AutoCAD.
