Senior Procurement Specialist – Engineering & Production

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and procurement activities across engineering, production, packaging, construction and capital projects within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for engineering, production, packaging, construction and capital services.
• Source, evaluate and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
• Lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal commercial terms and mitigate risk.
• Review procurement schedules, conduct bid evaluations, process purchase orders and resolve invoice issues.
• Prepare and present procurement reports and market analyses to project teams and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and eliminate non‑value‑added activities.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives through competitive bidding, supplier benchmarking and market intelligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement or a related discipline.
• Proven procurement and sourcing experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life‑sciences industry.
• Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, category management and strategic sourcing.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
